Uses And Application
This dye is used extensively in oil, fuel, grease, lubricant, wax and plastics colouration application. These highly concentrated heat-stable colourants, available in liquid and powder form, are soluble in a polar solvent and hydrocarbon-based oil and lubricants. Their high concentration allows the formulation to use minimal amounts of dye thereby causing no change to the products original physical characteristics.
Adding to this, their stability to high heat makes them a good match for engine oil, lubricants, automatic transmission fluid, and grease. Some lubricants are water-based and would need our water-soluble dyes or possibly pigments. The fluorescent dyed are used for leak detection in hydraulic systems and engines and water/oil path detection in oil-field applications. Petroleum applications also include diesel, gasoline, jet fuel, fuel additives and much more.
